Bombay or Mumbai as it is now known, is depicted in this Still-Life painting, with sculptures of migrants who have been regularly coming into this city to make a living as do the inward flocking sparrows. The glorious sunsets along the Arabian Sea coast is shown by way of the golden yellow and red in the background. The Sholapur bedcover has been used as the table cloth and the red Hibiscus symbolises the Siddhivinayak temple, the home of everyone’s favourite God - Ganesha.
