"Interplay of various colours and forms has always fascinated me. I am deeply attracted to nature which is always so pure and immensely beautiful. It encompasses unimaginable variety of colours, textures and forms which have been a constant inspiration. For me, the endeavour to paint nature is like being with it, in the middle of its myriad beauty."

Born in 1961, Umesh had been a banker by profession. Post his superannuation in 2021 from the bank, he is presently settled at Bhopal and fully engaged with his various interests, painting being one of these.
