The artist's preoccupation with the horizon line is the connecting thread in this series of works. Water and sky play a subordinate role in this painting. The temples, boats and houses merge into each other to make a horizontal line in the middle of the canvas. This line in the centre of the canvas somehow becomes a place of worship for the artist and creates a deep interest in this work.
