"From the very beginning of my career as an artist, I have had a great passion towards figurative art and heritage of India, this helped me realize my spiritual qualities. Now, over the past few years or so, my work has naturally and gradually drifted onwards abstraction and distinctive method of compressing the rich color and form of my environment into complex landscape paintings paintings that inbue material reality with a adeep sense of place. I combinecolors- making techniques with the vernacular, in a bid to arrive at an idiom that is entirely contemporary."

Karnataka born 1974 artist Ganesh P Doddamani, an Indian abstract painter showed interest in drawing at an early age, focusing mainly on the figurative form and also on the heritage of India. He later attented art classes while experimenting with colours during that period of time. Over the years he has drifted towards abstraction and used a technique to enhance the bright and solid colours on the canvas. Ganesh Doddamani has an aptitude for creating abstract landscapes, inspired by the palatte that nature has to offer.

BFA with honours from MMK College of Art, Gulbarga and MFA from the prestigious Kala Bhavana-Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan
