Aditi can spend hours sitting in front of a blank canvas dealing with concepts. She sometimes takes long solitary walks which help her to achieve both clarity of vision and integrity of purpose. Her current body of non-figurative abstract works are a result of her fourteen year long relentless experiments with forms and fragments. They depict her lifelong passionate involvement with nature.
Education & Career
Aditi Chakraborty has a Masters in English Literature from Burdwan University in India. She also has a Diploma in Interior Designing and a Diploma in Fine Art both from Kathmandu, Nepal. She has done a Certificate Course in Art Appreciation from Kolkata, and a Certificate course in Woodblock Printing from Artss Acre Foundation in Kolkata.
Recognition & Awards
Aditi has a Gold medal for Excellence in Design in 2002-2003 from Exterior-Interior Ltd. India and Best Emerging Artist Award from Arts Acre Foundation, India.
